Why February 15th?
Two reasons! First, February 15th is Matt Groening's birthday. And - as if that weren't reason enough - February 15th is the day after Valentine's Day. Which just seemed to make sense for Zoidberg.
How Should I Celebrate Zoidberg Day?
There are lots of ways to celebrate Zoidberg Day! Here's a list of some staff suggestions:*
- Go for a scuttle. #
- Go hunting for guinea pigs (but watch out, they're tricky). #
- Put on your formal shell and have a fancy party. #
- Experiment with bodily-secretions-as-jewelry. It could be a big hit! #
- Perform a few mercy killings. #
- Split a [free] order of bread with family at your local restaurant. #
- Watch a few decongestant commercials. #
- Get an ink sac installed, to help you escape your enemies.
- Write a commemorative letter in your own ink. #
- Apply for those mail-order degrees in murderology and murderometry that you've always wanted. #
But don't let this list limit you!
